The free outreach event will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov. 3 & Dec. 1, 2026 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Harrop Room of the Phoenixville Public Library, 183 Second Ave., Phoenixville, PA 19460.

A LASP attorney will provide information, counseling and advocacy in a variety of civil legal areas such as:

  • Expungement, pardons, Social Security, unemployment compensation, public benefits, housing, consumer and bankruptcy, custody and visitation, no-asset divorce, protection from abuse, elder law, appeals, and employment issues.

  • LASP cannot advise on issues of criminal law, including summary offenses.

This program is open to the public. Appointments are first-come, first-served.

CHESTER City - Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) will hold a free monthly Record-Clearing Clinic the first Wednesday of every month,. Each clinic is from 1-4 p.m. at J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St., Chester, PA 19013.

Dates are: Wednesday, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4, and Dec. 2, 2026.

The clinic is by appointment only, with no walk-ins permitted. To register, fill out Crozer Library’s Google form: https://bit.ly/CrozerForm.

The clinic will provide advice on criminal record-clearing in Pennsylvania. Attendees must have a criminal record in Bucks, Chester, Delaware or Montgomery counties. LASP cannot assist individuals with pending criminal charges or anyone on supervision for a recent offense.

Montco Unhoused Veteran Stand Down in Pottstown

POTTSTOWN - The Montco Unhoused Veteran Stand Down will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the TriCounty Active Adult Center, 288 Moser Road, Suite 1, Pottstown, PA 19464.

The event is for homeless veterans and veterans facing eviction and will offer resources for eviction prevention, emergency housing, health screenings, food and clothing, legal aid, VA enrollment, supplies, and VA health care and mental health care.

The event is hosted by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)’s Veterans Health Administration and the Coatesville VA Medical Center.

WAYNE - Run, walk and rally for Legal Aid of Southeastern PA at the 21st annual Trial Run 5K! Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join us on Sunday morning, Oct. 25, 2026 when the race returns to Wilson Farm Park in Wayne.

Since the Trial Run's inception in 2005, it has raised more than $290,000 for civil legal aid, helping to increase essential legal services for neighbors who cannot afford an attorney.

Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., with the race stepping off at 9 a.m., rain or shine.

Registration is $20 before Oct. 25 and $25 on race day. It includes a t-shirt, while supplies last. Participants can run or walk, and Halloween costumes are encouraged.

A little friendly competition is part of the fun, too. Awards will go to the top men’s and women’s finishers and for best costume, and the Team Competition Trophy returns for 2026.

Proceeds support LASP’s work providing free civil legal help with housing, family law, domestic violence, consumer law and debt, record-clearing, veterans issues, elder law, public benefits and more.

This event, organized by the Chester County Bar Association's Pro Bono Committee, is part of the Pro Bono Month celebration.

A LASP attorney will provide information, counseling and advocacy in a variety of civil legal areas such as:

  • Expungement, pardons, Social Security, unemployment compensation, public benefits, housing, consumer and bankruptcy, custody and visitation, no-asset divorce, protection from abuse, elder law, appeals, and employment issues.

  • LASP cannot advise on issues of criminal law, including summary offenses.

CHESTER City - Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) will hold a free monthly Record-Clearing Clinic the first Wednesday of every month,. Each clinic is from 1-4 p.m. at J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St., Chester, PA 19013.

PHOENIXVILLE - The Chester County Health Department’s Annual Potassium Iodide (KI) Dispensing Event and Community Resource Fair is Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at the Phoenixville Area Middle School Gymnasium. Stop by anytime from 12-6 p.m. to pick up free KI tablets for your household or business.

The free outreach event will be Tuesday, July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov. 3 & Dec. 1, 2026 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Harrop Room of the Phoenixville Public Library, 183 Second Ave., Phoenixville, PA 19460.

COATESVILLE - Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) will hold monthly veterans legal outreach clinics at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.

  • Wednesday, June 10, July 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 18, and Dec. 9, 2026. (The dates are the second Wednesday, except for November due to Veterans Day.)

  • 9:30-11 a.m.

  • at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Black Horse Hill Road, Building 4, Room 214, Coatesville, PA 19320

  • Veterans may also call the Legal Aid Veterans Helpline at 610-283-0884 for assistance, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome. Please bring documents related to the legal matter.

Veterans may be eligible to receive free legal help with a wide range of civil legal issues, including benefits, housing, expungement, discharge upgrades, public benefits, family law matters employment problems, and more. LASP does not handle criminal cases.

A referral by social worker, clinician or case manager is suggested but not necessary.

The clinics are part of the medical center's Veterans Justice Outreach Program which connects justice-involved veterans with VA health care services.

SHARON HILL - The Delaware County Office of Military and Veteran Affairs invites veterans, service members and military families to the Veterans Resource Fair on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12-3 p.m. The event is at First African Baptist Church, 901 Clifton Ave., Sharon Hill, PA 19079.

Connect with local resources, explore health and wellness services, learn about employment and education opportunities, and enjoy vendor booths and free giveaways. Lunch will be provided. Free haircuts also will be available.

Stop by Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP)’s table at this event to learn about free help with VA benefits, discharge upgrades, and other civil legal services.
