Courts in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties also are closed CLOSED on Monday, Jan. 26. (See below for county notifications.)

Many staff will be working remotely.

County notifications:

Bucks County notification

Due to inclement weather, all Bucks County offices - including the Justice Center and Magisterial District Courts - will be closed Monday, Jan. 26.

All scheduled court proceedings, including those scheduled at any Bucks County Magisterial District Court, are postponed. Jurors should not report to the Justice Center.

Chester County notification

  • Chester County Government offices and courts are CLOSED on Monday, January 26 due to the inclement weather. During this time, many County programs and services will continue, with staff working remotely as able.

  • Chesco Connect will not be operating buses on Monday.

  • The Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch are CLOSED on Sunday and Monday, Jan 25-26.

  • ALL Chester County Parks are CLOSED on Sunday, Jan 26.

Delaware County notification

Due to inclement weather, the Delaware County Courthouse, Government Center, and county offices that operate during normal business hours will be closed tomorrow, 01-26-2026. Stay safe and warm!

Montgomery County notification

All County courts, buildings, and facilities are closed tomorrow, Monday, 1/26, due to inclement weather.

When the Courthouse is closed, all scheduled matters — both in person and virtual will be rescheduled for a later date by Chambers or Court Administration.

MEDIA - Get help with discharge upgrades, Veterans Treatment Court and VA benefits!

The Delaware County Suicide Prevention & Awareness Task Force Subcommittee for Veterans will present “Benefits, Boards and Courts: Assisting Veterans with Discharge Upgrades, Veterans Treatment Court and VA Benefits” on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Penn State Brandywine, 25 Yearsley Mill Road (Main Building, Room 113), Media, PA 19063.

Registration is required by Friday, Jan. 16, by contacting Shardae Wescott at 484-744-3269.

The program will cover applying for VA benefits, military discharge upgrades and how Veterans Treatment Court supports justice-involved veterans, with veterans service organizations available to assist with VA benefits applications.

The event is open to veterans and their families. Refreshments will be served. VA S.A.V.E Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training will be available following the panel discussion.

DARBY - A Delaware County Expungement Clinic will be held Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Darby Borough Council Building, 1020 Ridge Ave., Darby, as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. Pennsylvania House Speaker Joanna McClinton and Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams will host Legal Aid of Southeastern PA and the Delaware County Public Defender Association.

The clinic will assist eligible participants with expungements and record sealing for qualifying cases.

Registration is required.

To be eligible for an expungement, you must meet these conditions.

  • Only non-conviction charges including ARD, or summary convictions with no arrests in the past 5 years can be expunged.

  • Non-summary convictions cannot be expunged.

  • Many misdemeanor convictions may be sealed if 7 years have passed.

  • Some low-level drug and property related felony convictions may be sealed if 10 years have passed.

  • Must have no current criminal charges.

  • Must not be serving probation time.

Virtual Clean Slate and Expungement Workshop

The Coatesville Center for Community Health will host Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) for a virtual Clean Slate and Expungement Workshop.

A LASP attorney will present tthe virtual workshops (approximately 1 hour) on the following Thursdays:

  • Dec. 4 at 4:30 p.m.

The session will help participants learn whether they are eligible to have their criminal records sealed or expunged under Pennsylvania’s Clean Slate law, which expanded in February 2024. LASP attorneys will offer free record screenings and help with completing necessary forms.

Record-clearing helps people improve opportunities for jobs, education, and housing.

If possible, participants should bring a copy of their Pennsylvania criminal record. A completed intake form is also recommended.
