Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) is celebrating 24+ years of service as a regional nonprofit law firm in the Philadelphia suburbs of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
We provide free civil legal services to low-income, vulnerable residents.
Our nine offices are located in seven communities: Bristol, Chester city, Doylestown, Media, Norristown, Pottstown and West Chester.

Law and Technology Specialist – Norristown (Montgomery County), PA

Under the direction of LASP’s Director of Operations, the Law and Technology Specialist will work collaboratively with the IT and Grants Compliance Specialists at LASP to enhance performance and compliance with federal, state, and local grants and contracts while also providing crucial IT support. This position will ensure that LASP adheres to all terms and conditions of its funding sources and maintains efficient IT and Compliance operations. The Law and Technology Specialist will also identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, acting as a creative thought partner to help accelerate LASP's overall technology landscape by selecting and employing technology systems.
The position is full-time and based in Norristown at LASP's Central Administration office. Staff currently work on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be expected to perform in-office work and be able to work remotely.

Helpline Intake Staff Attorney – Norristown (Montgomery County), PA

SUMMARY
Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (“LASP”) seeks attorneys for its Centralized Telephone Intake Helpline. LASP serves individuals with low incomes and limited resources in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. This position would be responsible for initial client contact, completion of all required eligibility and compliance documentation, initial investigation, and provision of advice. The position will work closely with the Helpline Supervising Attorney to determine next steps, including levels of service to be provided and referrals to LASP local offices or specialty units. LASP’s Helpline interviews potential clients facing legal problems in areas including Employment (Wage Claims, Criminal Records Clearing), Public Benefits (SSI, Unemployment, Veterans), Family Law, Landlord-Tenant, Homeownership, Consumer, Bankruptcy, and Utilities. LASP’s Helpline answers live calls, returns applicants’ phone calls, refers cases internally, and responds to online applications. This is a full-time position. Staff currently work on a hybrid basis. Staff will be expected to perform in-office work as well as be able to work remotely. This position may carry a small caseload involving brief service.

Paralegal – Doylestown (Bucks County), PA

SUMMARY
Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (“LASP”) seeks a full-time Paralegal for the Doylestown Office. LASP serves individuals with limited income, older adults, veterans and domestic violence survivors from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties facing issues regarding housing, including landlord-tenant law and foreclosure; family law; protection from domestic violence; consumer; employment; and public benefits. The Doylestown Office serves Bucks County residents facing family law issues. The Paralegal must be a team player, willing to handle a multitude of duties as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with case management systems and bankruptcy software or an ability to quickly learn these and other computer skills is desirable. Staff currently work on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be expected to perform in-office work, be able to work remotely as needed, and support LASP’s in-person outreach efforts throughout Bucks County.

Housing Stability Attorneys – (multiple temporary full-time positions)

SUMMARY
Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) is implementing the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) Housing Stability Program to ensure “Safe, Stable, and Secure Housing” for individuals with low incomes in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. LASP seeks several staff attorneys to serve in full-time, temporary positions through at least September 30, 2025. Housing Stability Attorneys will be placed in one of the following LASP offices: Bristol, Norristown, Pottstown, West Chester, or Chester city. These positions will be focused on case goals that ensure housing stability as defined by DHS:
Safe Housing: Housing is considered safe if it is free from known hazards or conditions that jeopardize the health and safety of occupants;
Stable Housing: Housing is considered stable if it is affordable, meaning total housing costs do not exceed 30% of household income. Housing is also considered stable by the absence of eviction or foreclosure notices, including for mobile homes or other occupied land, and the absence of other imminent risk that could trigger an eviction, foreclosure, or condemnation of the home;
Secure Housing: Housing is considered secure if tenants, property owners, and mobile homeowners have legal protections in place, such as valid leases, mortgages, or titles, and are not subject to arbitrary displacement, foreclosure, or loss of their mobile home or property.
Housing Stability Attorneys will handle landlord-tenant cases including private rentals and subsidized and public housing as well as cases in other LASP practice areas such as utility law, homeownership, mobile home ownership rights, and other cases as assigned. Continued employment under the Housing Stability program may be available after September 30, 2025, after review of funding available at that time. Staff currently work on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be expected to perform in-office work as well as be able to work remotely.

Helpline Paralegal / Administrative Support Staff – Norristown (Montgomery County), PA

SUMMARY
Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (“LASP”) seeks a full-time Paralegal / Administrative Support person for the Centralized Telephone Intake Helpline. LASP serves low-income individuals from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties facing issues regarding housing, including landlord/tenant law and foreclosure, family law, protection from domestic violence, consumer, employment and public benefits. Staff currently work on a hybrid basis. The Paralegal / Administrative Support person must have the capacity to work both remotely and in person in Norristown. The salary will be commensurate with experience and LASP’s personnel policy.

Executive Administrative Assistant – Norristown (Montgomery County), PA

Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. (“LASP”) seeks a full-time Executive Assistant who will provide dependable support to LASP’s Executive team, including its Executive Director, Deputy Directors for Advocacy and Operations, Directors of Development and Communication, Controller, and Human Resources Manager.
