Join the 21st annual Trial Run 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026 at 9 a.m. at Wilson Farm Park, Wayne / Chesterbrook, PA. The festive event includes prizes for top men’s and women’s finishers, best costume, and a traveling trophy for the firm with the most race-day participants. It happens rain or shine.

WAYNE - Run, walk and rally for Legal Aid of Southeastern PA at the 21st annual Trial Run 5K! Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join us on Sunday morning, Oct. 25, when the race returns to Wilson Farm Park in Wayne.
The Chester County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Committee hosting this festive event as part of the Pro Bono Month celebration.
Since the Trial Run's inception in 2005, it has raised more than $290,000 for civil legal aid, helping to increase essential legal services for neighbors who cannot afford an attorney.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., with the race stepping off at 9 a.m., rain or shine.
Registration is $20 before Oct. 25 and $25 on race day. It includes a t-shirt, while supplies last. Participants can run or walk, and Halloween costumes are encouraged.
A little friendly competition is part of the fun, too. Awards will go to the top men’s and women’s finishers and for best costume, and the Team Competition Trophy returns for 2026.
Proceeds support LASP’s work providing free civil legal help with housing, family law, domestic violence, consumer law and debt, record-clearing, veterans issues, elder law, public benefits and more.

WAYNE - Fifty-eight runners laced up to support access to justice for all at the 20th annual Trial Run 5K, benefiting Legal Aid of Southeastern PA on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.
The event raised a record-setting $23,235 for local legal aid!

A crisp bright morning at Wilson Farm Park, Wayne, formed the backdrop for the festive morning. Creative costume on the trail included the Halloween Oreo, Knight of Justice, Wonder Woman, Brawny Man, Mary Katherine Gallagher of Saturday Night Live, Victoria Ratliffe of White Lotus, a Where's Waldo duo, and more.
Congrats to the top finishers, Kevin Long and Sara Planthaber, best costume winner Where's Waldo team, and the first-ever Team Competition Trophy winners, Unruh Turner Burke & Frees, for having the greatest number of participants at this year's Trial Run.
Brian Doyle, LASP Staff Attorney and Chester County Pro Bono Coordinator, welcomed runners and walkers and thanked sponsors before the race start.

The 18th annual Trial Run 5K is in the books!
More than 40 runners & walkers ~ some in costume ~ started their Sunday morning at the 18th annual Trial Run 5K, held Oct. 29, 2023 at Wilson Farm Park, Wayne. The event raised $17,295 for Legal Aid of Southeastern PA!
A bit of rain fell at the start, just enough to “make a splash.”
The run was hosted by the Chester County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Committee to benefit Legal Aid of Southeastern PA.
Since 2017, the Trial Run 5K has raised $101,185 for LASP.
