Virtual: Criminalization of Homelessness and How to Help the Unhoused

The Bucks-Mont Collaborative presents “The Criminalization of Homelessness and How to Help the Unhoused: A Presentation & Discussion with Access Services, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA and & Community Justice Project.” The virtual event will be Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 11:30-1 p.m.

Legal advocates will explain the current issues around the criminalization of homelessness, including new developments at the U.S. Supreme Court and how they may impact people in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

The presentation will also cover common legal issues experienced by unhoused people, how Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Access Services can help, and opportunities for collaboration.

CHESTER city, Delaware County - Join the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA, and Safe Corridors for “Reentry, Resetting, and Redemption Pardon Symposium and Clinic: Part III” on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at the Kapelski Learning Center at Widener University, 658 E. 14th St, Chester, PA 19013.

After the program, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with a Legal Aid of Southeastern PA advocate to discuss how the pardon process or other record-clearing options may fit their individual situation.

Delaware County Emergency Rental Assistance Updates and Enhancements: Virtual

In partnership with Delaware County Human Services, The Foundation for Delaware County presents a webinar: Delco Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Updates and Enhancements on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. Please register on Zoom: https://bit.ly/3xhV1hW, The federal moratorium on evictions ended July 31, and a more limited moratorium is in place from Aug. 3-Oct. 3, 2021. During the next three months, the limited moratorium can change in every county based on current COVID-19 case counts. It is critical, now more than ever, that service providers have accurate and timely information about the Delco Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA)Program; how to apply, updates and enhancements to the program with new funds arriving, what to expect and how to protect against eviction where possible.
