SHARON HILL - The Delaware County Office of Military and Veteran Affairs (DMVA) is proud to host a free Veterans Resource Fair Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 12-3 p.m. at the First African Baptist Church, 901 Clifton Ave., Sharon Hill, PA 19079.
Stop by Legal Aid of Southeastern PA’s table at the event! You’ll have a chance to talk to our Veterans Advocacy Project team about VA benefits, discharge upgrades, and civil legal aid.
The Resource Fair supports Delaware County Veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families by providing access to services, programs, and information, and underscores the County’s dedication to ensuring that its Veterans are respected, appreciated, and supported in tangible ways that reflect their invaluable contributions to the nation.
Access to comprehensive resources can dramatically enhance the quality of life for Veterans and active military members, impacting their mental and financial well-being.
“The success of last year’s Veterans Resource Fair showed just how powerful it is when a community comes together to serve those who’ve served us,” said Col. Arthur L. Jenkins, Jr., Director of the Delaware County Office of Military and Veterans Affairs. “We’re proud to build on that momentum in 2025, offering even more resources, support, and gratitude to our Veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families. It’s not just about access to services—it’s about building a lasting network of care.”
Attendees can look forward to a variety of resources and services tailored to their needs. The fair will feature a complimentary lunch provided by Mission BBQ and a raffle. Additionally, vouchers will be provided to Veterans to use at Hill’s barbershop, in West Philadelphia, for a free haircut. Free parking is available to ensure accessibility for all.
Vendors include: Alcoholics Anonymous, Community Capacity Builders, CompeerCORPS, Department of Veterans Affairs Philadelphia Regional Office, Early Leaning Resource Center 15, Home Helpers, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA, PA DMVA, Right at Home Main Line, Savannah Care Simple Senior Solutions, Senator Anthony Williams Office, State Representative David M. Delloso, Sufficient Enough Home Care Agency, Sun East Federal Credit Union, The Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA), Travis Manion Foundation, Veterans Multi-Service Center, Visiting Angels, VMC (Veteran Multi-Service Center), Women Marines Association PA-2 Tun Tavern Marines. More will be added through June 7.
County offices and departments scheduled to attend: Dept. of Military & Veterans Affairs, Delaware County Dept. of Human Services, Delaware County Health Dept., Delaware County Libraries, Delaware County Recorder of Deeds, and the Delaware County Transportation Management Association.
