(Updated Jan. 21, 2026) WASHINGTON - In a bipartisan show of support for legal aid earlier in January, the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate approved a $540 million appropriation for the Legal Services Corpoation (LSC) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026. The measure still requires the president's signature before becoming law.
