SWARTHMORE - Carol Wilbur and Christopher Rogers were honored with Patricia “Pat” L. Brooks Awards at LASP’s Staff Retreat on June 28, 2023 at the Inn at Swarthmore. Prior to the retreat, all staff were invited to nominate colleagues for recognition. Executive Director Shawn Boehringer and Chief Counsel Carolyn Johnson presented the awards, which were last given in 2020.

Since joining LASP in January 2004, Carol has served as office assistant and is currently Doylestown Office Manager and legal assistant. Chris is a proud Air Force combat Veteran. He joined LASP in September 2017 as Technology Technician.

In announcing Carol’s award, Johnson read from staff nominations. “Carol is the most patient, caring and competent office manager. She treats each potential client with dignity and respect.” She was described as “the glue that held the north county office together through the death of longtime managing attorney, Maryjane Kelley, multiple staff changes, management changes and office transitions.”

In announcing Chris’ award, Johnson noted, “The awardee is a quiet consistent presence in the work life of the entire LASP team. … Perhaps it is the quiet manner in which he enters your office, completes his job and leaves the building without giving you a chance to thank him for his work. That is really what in my mind makes him a perfect example of Pat Brooks’ work ethic and commitment to service. He embodies quiet efficiency and a good spirit. An Air Force veteran, he literally provides the foundation for LASP’s work.”
