LASP pro bono coordinator update
(Oct. 12, 2026)
NORRISTOWN - The LASP Pro Bono Team announces two important staff changes.
Noelle Gambale, Montgomery County Pro Bono Coordinator

Norristown Staff Attorney Noelle Gambale has been named the new Montgomery County Pro Bono Coordinator. Noelle will continue in her role as Staff Attorney and will take on additional responsibility for supporting pro bono programs in Montgomery County.
Noelle joined LASP in September 2023 as a staff attorney in the Community Engagement Unit (CEU), where her work focused on criminal record-clearing cases. In 2025, Noelle transitioned from that role to focus on representing older adults in Montgomery County in guardianship matters.
Noelle is particularly interested in expanding volunteer services for seniors who can potentially avoid guardianship by obtaining powers of attorney and other documents earlier in life. In the CEU, Noelle gained experience working with volunteers, managing several interns each semester.
Noelle earned her J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and a Master’s in Public Administration from Villanova's School of Graduate Arts & Sciences. She was named a Villanova Public Interest Scholar and received the Pro Bono Student Award from the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service. Noelle is an active volunteer with the Pennsylvania Prison Society and Theater & Kids in Lansdale.
“Working with volunteers and interns is a big part of the reason why I came to LASP and why I pursued a Master’s in Public Administration,” Noelle explained. “I look forward to engaging with our volunteers and supporting them in the important work they do for LASP clients.”
Renate Keg, Community Engagement Unit Pro Bono Coordinator
Renate Keg, Community Engagement Unit Staff Attorney & CEU Pro Bono Coordinator for Legal Aid of Southeastern PA
NORRISTOWN - Renate Keg has been named to the newly created position of Pro Bono Coordinator for the Community Engagement Unit (CEU).
Renate joined LASP in the fall of 2025 after graduating magna cum laude from Widener Delaware Law School. She was an intern with LASP during the Spring of 2025. As Staff Attorney, her practice focuses on criminal record clearing through expungement, limited access and name change petitions, as well as community outreach to assist individuals experiencing housing insecurity. Renate has played an active role in recruiting and training student interns and incorporating volunteers at the many outreach events conducted by the CEU.
“I was a pro bono volunteer with LASP during law school, so I have a unique perspective on the program,” Renate said. “I am excited to strengthen connections with private attorneys and find opportunities to work together to serve LASP clients.”
Adding a pro bono coordinator is consistent with the mission of the CEU, which has integrated students into its service delivery model for years. The CEU has recently grown beyond criminal record clearing work to include pro bono projects related to consumer law and public benefits. As CEU Pro Bono Coordinator, Renate will be able to focus on developing regional pro bono opportunities in a way that is strategic and consistent with LASP’s overall pro bono plan.
