CHESTER City - Justice Simanek has been named Supervising Attorney of Legal Aid of Southeastern PA's Veterans Advocacy Project, effective April 1, 2026. They joined LASP in May 2023 as VAP Staff Attorney. Justice earned a J.D. and an M.S. in Government Organization and Leadership from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska in May 2021. They were Student Articles Editor for Creighton Law Review. They also were 2019-20 President of Creighton's Gender and Sexuality Alliance and secretary of the American Constitution Society. Justice holds a B.S. in political science, magna cum laude, from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Justice served as a judicial law clerk for Chief Judge Stoney Hiljus of the Tenth Judicial District in Kanabec County, Minnesota. Law school internships focused on veterans rights and serving those in poverty, including an Equal Justice Works Veterans Legal Corps internship with Iowa Legal Aid, a civil rights-centered internship with federal Judge Joseph Bataillon, and a full-time externship with the U.S. Department of Justice: Civil Rights Division, Voting Rights Section. Justice was a 2022 Board Member of the Minneapolis-St. Paul American Constitution Society Lawyers Chapter and also volunteered for Our Justice and OutFront Minnesota. During Justice's time as a Veterans Legal Corps intern with Iowa Legal Aid, they helped veterans upgrade discharge statuses and apply for VA benefits.
