Grants Compliance Specialist

John C. Farrell began his current role as Grants Compliance Specialist at Legal Aid of Southeastern in December 2021. He joined LASP's Chester County division in West Chester as a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Staff Attorney in September 2018. working with clients to obtain Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders and handling custody and divorce cases.

John holds a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a B.A. from St. John's College, Annapolis. He served as Judicial Law Clerk for Hon. John R. Rauh in New Jersey Superior Court - Atlantic County. As part of a semester internship with the Sheller Center for Social Justice Lawyering Clinic, he worked on the Berks Family Detention Center project and filed an urgent appeal with the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention. He also interned with the Community Legal Services Family Advocacy Unit and the Women Against Abuse Legal Center. In his free time, he writes about board games and independent film as Senior Tabletop Editor of Gaming Trend online magazine.
